Are you getting enough nutrients? What about protein? Many of us believe that we are eating enough of these things if we are eating a “healthy” diet.

However, many of us are barely scratching the surface of our body’s needs. Protein is such a powerhouse because our body uses it for a plethora of functions. Protein is a premium nutrient for the body and there are 13 essential amino acids that we must get from our diet.

Yet, all protein is not created equally, and certainly not used equally in the body. We have to look beyond the package and protein claims unless specific amino acids are listed.

Listen to this episode as I discuss the problem with assuming all protein, is protein. Different dietary approaches assume that all protein is equal. The body discriminates on the types of protein we consume. Hopefully, this episode gives some food for thought (pun intended).
