Stay Connected to the Vine and Keep Pressing In

How to not grow weary in your faith styleandstewardship.com

Stay connected to the vine and keep pressing in. I want to encourage you in this podcast episode 27 to keep pressing into God. There is so much that HE desires to do in and through you and I don’t want you to forget that.

We can become weary in not seeing progress or change quickly. We can also become frustrated when we feel that our circumstances have not budged an inch.

But just because you don’t see what God is doing [for lack of overnight change] does not mean that God is not doing something.

Stay Connected to the Vine and Keep Pressing In

It’s easy to trust obvious evidence that change is occurring and hold on. But it’s so much harder and requires Faith to see that God is working even if it’s not evident. It’s so important that we stay connected to Christ and keep pressing in even when nothing seems to be happening.

  • Don’t grow weary praying.
  • Don’t grow weary in doing well.
  • Don’t lose heart during trials or the unknown.

God Always Comes Through

God always comes through! Please remember that when you are being faithful God will use whatever your situation is to grow and strengthen you, even when you are oblivious that it’s happening.

  • We can’t be faithful with what God gives us without Him.
  • We have to be connected to the vine.
  • We have to be connected to Jesus.

You have to remain in the vine. The fruit God wants to produce in your life will not grow without being connected to Christ.

Style And Stewardship

Clarity, discernment, and direction happen when we seek God for them.

We also can not figure out how to do something in our own strength apart from God and expect growth and direction

God wants us to come back to him again and again and again.

And that is for our good!

God is Able to do Anything

God is able to do anything. However, we still have to submit ourselves to what God wants to do in and through us. Doing things in our own strength and through our own ways will not always yield the fruit that we assume.

Taking matters into our own hands don’t always benefit what God is trying to do.

Sometimes the “miracle” is God giving you grace that you didn’t even know that you would need.

Style And Stewardship

Knock and knock, seek and seek. Matthew 7:7-12 (CSB)

Being saved does not mean that we have spiritually ‘arrived.’

Style And Stewardship

As tempting as it may be to do things in your own strength and your own way don’t give yourself over to anything but God and his ways.

Even if you feel that you have not been rescued from your situation, or that your situation has not yet changed.

That is not evidence that God is Not working.

Please hold on to God. He is always working.

Your Life Matters and Impacts Others

You can not fathom the magnitude of your life and the impact of your life on this world, this culture, your family, your community in Christ. Your life matters and impacts others.

The enemy wants to distract you from the fact that God is doing an amazing work within and through you.

The enemy wants you to despair and become hopeless.

But please hold on to God.

As a Believer [follower of Christ] you are not in despair, because you are never without hope!

Style And Stewardship

The Holy Spirit resides in you. The same spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the Grave resides in you. Romans 8:11 CSB

Let’s not take that lightly!

We are not capable of doing the things that God wants to do in and through us without God.

Apart from Him, we can do…. Nothing.

A Reminder For When You Are Weary

There is more in the Podcast episode below but all of this to say:

  • If you are praying about something – keep praying
  • If God has placed you somewhere – don’t move
  • If God is speaking to you – be quiet
  • If God is telling you to speak – speak loudly and boldly

But please do not get distracted from the things that God has laid on your heart.

God loves us so much that he will allow us to choose our own way, go down a dead-end road just to bring us around again. He will circle you back to get you on the right path again.

Sometimes we wander off trying to figure things out.

“Stop needing to know before you go.”

He Prepares Us, Take Part In That Process

We don’t know how God is going to show up in a situation. But we can know that it is going to be Good. We can know that it will be for His glory

Take part in all the ways God is working in and through your life.

We can not skip the preparation

We can not skip the preparation that God is doing within us and what He may be preparing us for.

When we get to the place that God is taking us to we will be glad we didn’t skip how He was preparing us.

Don’t skip your growth that occurs within the preparation.

Don’t get tired of praying the same prayer.

Don’t grow weary while doing good.

Before you jump into another health optimization trend, there's a more foundational question to ask: have you actually laid the groundwork your body needs first? In this episode, Cher unpacks why so many people skip the basics and go straight for shortcuts, and why that approach ends up working against the very health goals they're chasing.  Using the analogy of building a house, she explains why foundations always have to come before optimization, why your symptoms are signals pointing to imbalance rather than problems to silence, and why consistency, not extremes, is what actually creates lasting change. Sleep gets specific attention as one of the clearest examples of a skipped foundation, including what happens to your hormones, cortisol, and cellular repair while you rest, and why coffee can't substitute for what your body actually needs.  Cher also shares a faith-centered perspective on pain and suffering, showing how even hard seasons can point us back to God. This episode is a call to slow down, build the right foundation, and steward your health and body well, so you have the resilience to do the things God has called you to do.
