Healthy Fried Apples (Gaps, Paleo, AIP, Whole30)

Ingredients

  • 4 large Apples
  • 1/8 - 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • Sea Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup Filtered Water
  • 2 tsp Ghee or Coconut Oil (for AIP or Whole30)

Instructions

  • Add 1/2 cup of filtered water to a heavy pan and turn on medium high heat
  • Peel, core, and slice apples into slices
  • Add your cut apples to your pan and add a pinch of salt, and a pinch of cinnamon.
  • Turn the heat to medium and cover
  • Check and stir after 5 minutes
  • Recover and allow to cook for an additional 5 minutes
  • *Most or all of the water should be gone at this point (9-10 minutes)
  • Turn off the heat and add ghee or coconut oil
  • Stir to coat all of your apples and wait 1 minute
