Healthy Fried Apples (Gaps, Paleo, AIP, Whole30)

This healthy fried apples recipe is quick, easy, and delicious. It’s the perfect apple pie fix, without any additives or sugar that could hinder your healthy living goals.

If you follow an AIP diet, GAPS diet, Paleo, Whole30, or Real Food eating style, this one is for you.

All you need are four of your favorite apples and you are ready to make these.

What You Need to Make Healthy Fried Apples

  • Four of your favorite apples ( I used Pink Lady Apples)
  • Cinnamon
  • Sea Salt
  • Filtered Water
  • Ghee, or Coconut Oil (for AIP or Whole30)

How to Make Easy Fried Apples

Add 1/2 cup of filtered water to a heavy pan and turn on medium high heat

Peel, core, and slice apples into slices

Add your cut apples to your pan and add a pinch of salt, and a pinch of cinnamon.

Turn the heat to medium and cover

Check and stir after 5 minutes

Recover and allow to cook for an additional 5 minutes

*Most or all of the water should be gone at this point (9-10 minutes)

Turn off the heat and add ghee or coconut oil

Stir to coat all of your apples and wait 1 minute

Enjoy!

Serve them as a side dish, with breakfast or as a healthy dessert.

We love to have them with my Date Caramel Dip.
