Gluten-Free Dinner Rolls Without Rice

I don’t know about you but it has been difficult to find a recipe for gluten-free dinner rolls without rice. After a lot of trial and error, I have created a recipe for dinner rolls without rice flour. These gluten-free dinner rolls are also nut-free, dairy-free, and grain-free.

You may be wondering what the heck is left after I leave all of that out!

These rolls are simple and require mixing and forming, allowing them to rise, bake, and then boom! You have a delicious chewy and soft dinner roll to pair with anything.

Easy Grain-Free Dinner Rolls

Here are tools and ingredients you need:

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula or Spoon
  • Optional Large Cookie Scoop
  • Kitchen Scale or Measuring Cups
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Baking pan with parchment

Ingredients you will need:

Steps to Make Gluten-Free Dinner Rolls

  • Mix tapioca, cassava flour, potato starch, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add warm water, sugar, and yeast to a separate bowl and allow to proof.
  • Next make a well in the dry mixture and add the egg in the center and top with olive oil.
  • Next add your sugar, water, and yeast mixture to the bowl and mix in.
  • Once everything is combined well it will begin to resemble a nice smooth dough.
  • Place the dough into 12 equal balls on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  • You can brush with some olive oil and place in a warm place to rise for 20 minutes.
  • After rise create an egg wash by adding some water to an egg and beat.
  • Last, brush each roll with some egg wash and bake for 15 minutes or until bottom of rolls are a nice golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 1 pck Yeast or 2 1/2 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 cup Tapioca Starch spooned into measuring cup and level
  • 1 cup Cassava Flour
  • 1 cup Potato Starch not flour
  • 3 tsp Psyllium Husk Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Water or Milk of choice use filtered water or milk of choice
