Misfits Market Review
I am excited to share this Misfits Market Review with you all. Eating for health is very important to me and my family. It’s also important to stay within our budget while getting the best bang for our buck.
It’s getting more and more accessible to get great healthy options due to companies like the Misfits Market. This company aims to solve a problem with food waste in this country and I truly appreciate that!
Throwing away perfectly good food is ridiculous in my opinion. You can check out their site Here.
Misfits Market Review: The Details
The Misfits Market aims to keep food out of the landfills but not only that. They source their all Organic produce from regional Farms and will deliver your purchase within 3 business days or less!
Why this is a company I think everyone should try is pretty simple. Organic food at a discount that saves you money, prevents food waste and benefits farmers! That’s good for everyone!
Need I say more?
Misfits Market: What is It
Essentially you are purchasing Organic produce (a mix of fruit and vegetables) that did not make it to grocery stores due to being misshaped, cosmetic differences, surplus, or sizing that was too big or too small.
After we received our box I noticed really tiny imperfections (I guess what stores would consider imperfections). Everything we tried from our box was delicious and I can say that our second box just got here and I am thrilled and can’t wait to open it.
I will share pictures of what was in our Madness Box. There are two box sizes
The Mischief Box: Smaller Size that serves 2-3 people for a week at approximately 10-13lbs
Cost: $22.00 and they estimate the same amount of Produce to be $35.00 at the store.
The Madness Box: Larger Size that serves up to 5 people for a week at approximately 18-22 pounds
Cost: $35.00 and they estimate this same amount of Produce to be $65.00 at the store.
Misfits Market
The Madness box came with a ton of food. It was shocking how much was in my order. It was really cool to try different items I had never had before. They even included a recipe card for the Butternut squash.
Here’s a tip if you get something in your box that you have never cooked before. Hop over to Pinterest and search for a recipe with that ingredient. It really is that simple.
Cutting and peeling vegetables and tossing in olive oil, salt, and pepper then roasting them in the oven is a great way to make most vegetables.
