Focus Forward

Hand raised to block distractions Limit Distractions Focus on Christ Style And Stewardship.com

Our focus can be on so many different things. If we are not careful and intentional about following the direction of Christ we can confuse ourselves and the steps we need to take, and in what direction. We have to focus forward and ignore distractions.

While reading Luke chapter 10 a few weeks ago I noticed that Jesus sent out the 72 and told them NOT to look around. He told them, not to stop on the way and to go where he was sending them.

If we are not careful to follow the directives of Christ and the Holy Spirit we are prone to venture onto other paths not meant for us.

Before you jump into another health optimization trend, there's a more foundational question to ask: have you actually laid the groundwork your body needs first? In this episode, Cher unpacks why so many people skip the basics and go straight for shortcuts, and why that approach ends up working against the very health goals they're chasing.  Using the analogy of building a house, she explains why foundations always have to come before optimization, why your symptoms are signals pointing to imbalance rather than problems to silence, and why consistency, not extremes, is what actually creates lasting change. Sleep gets specific attention as one of the clearest examples of a skipped foundation, including what happens to your hormones, cortisol, and cellular repair while you rest, and why coffee can't substitute for what your body actually needs.  Cher also shares a faith-centered perspective on pain and suffering, showing how even hard seasons can point us back to God. This episode is a call to slow down, build the right foundation, and steward your health and body well, so you have the resilience to do the things God has called you to do.
